Following the recently concluded elections, the District Election Officer (DEO), Papum Pare extends its gratitude to all who participated and exercised their democratic right to vote. Your active involvement has showcased the strength and vibrancy of our democracy. Voting is both a right and a civic duty, ensuring that our government reflects the will of the people. Each vote is vital, reinforcing our democracy and ensuring it remains responsive to the needs of its citizens.
To maintain the accuracy and integrity of our voter rolls, the DEO conducts regular summary revisions. These are essential for keeping voter lists up-to-date and correcting any discrepancies. During the summary revision, a hearing schedule is fixed as per the direction of the ECI by the ERO or AERO in their respective jurisdiction with respect to four qualifying dates: - 1st January, 1st April, 1st July and 1st October (view order). We have offices of ERO Doimukh, ERO Sagalee, and ERO Itanagar where a person can visit and collect information regarding new registration and status of E-Roll. On direction of DEO’s Office, the appointed BLOs in respective circles also will facilitate the registration and dispersion of information to all general public regarding revision. We urge all eligible voters to verify their details and make necessary updates during these periods. Additionally, we celebrate National Voter’s Day on every 25th January annually to encourage greater participation in the electoral process. On this day, various awareness programs are organized to educate the public about the importance of voting and to facilitate the registration of new voters.
